What Happened

Director Koshi Nakanishi confirmed Capcom is working on a new minigame and new story DLC for Resident Evil Requiem. The upcoming minigame is strictly based on the main game's combat and is in the final stages of development. Producer Masato Kumazawa stated that these minigames are unlockable content available once the main game is cleared.

Why this Matters to You

If you have already finished Resident Evil Requiem's main story, you may soon have new combat-focused content to play. The unlockable minigame could extend your enjoyment of the game's mechanics. For players who have not yet completed the story, this provides a clear incentive to do so.

What's Next

The minigame is expected to arrive around May, which coincides with Japan's Golden Week holiday period from April 29th to May 5th. Capcom is also continuing work on new story DLC for the game.

Perspectives

Game Developers aim to provide additional 'mayhem' for players who have completed the main story, designing minigames intended to make them go "Whoo-hoo!!" and have a good time.
“
Critics have lauded the title as "legendary horror at an all-time high" and specifically praised the character dynamics between Leon and the newcomer, Grace.
“
Players seek timely content updates, with suggestions that having minigames ready during Golden Week would be the "perfect time to have the minigames ready to play."
