Producer Kohei Shibata announced via an official post on Team Ninja's website on 20th April that a free update for Nioh 3 will be released on 27th April. The update will add various systems and new content, including multiple high-difficulty Battle Scroll side missions that can be accessed from shrines. It will also introduce a Stone of Penance item, which increases accessory +Values and rarities in exchange for higher difficulties. New skills will be provided as rewards for completing these high-level Battle Scroll missions. The patch will also include balance adjustments to enhance certain Graces.
