The Fantastic Lab Central America & Caribbean program unveiled six finalists and awarded one grand prize at the Cannes Fantastic Pavilion. The grand prize went to 'We Won’t Let the Goat Die', a co-production involving Costa Rica, Perú, and Panamá. The program received 55 project submissions from the region after being launched at the inaugural Costa Rica Media Market in partnership with Grupo Morbido. An initial 15 projects were selected for the first phase, which was mentored by genre filmmaker Adrian Garcia Bogleano and Grupo Morbido.
